I played this experimental build for around an hour, these are my considerations:
What i liked:
-the wrist magnet mechanic, especially the grab-execute-throw enemy mechanic, is fun and also really cool to watch. very interesting throwing the pick-ups directly against the enemies
-the graphics, i find the use of the 3d and pixel art well blended
-the secondary fire of the shotgun-flamer, it's very satisfying to use especially on big groups of enemies
-the pacing is right, not too fast and not too slow
-the music fits well
-the gore
What i would like:
-visual feedback when taking damage, it's a little hard to understand when you're being damaged
-bigger (or at least more impactful) blast radius of the primary fire of rocket launcher
-i would reduce a little bit the visual effect during the jump, it feels "too much" for just a jump
-have a little more control of the movement during the jump
-even more gore (guts, limbs)
Bugs that i found:
-the big enemies tends to get stuck in the corridor
-hitting multiple enemies or a big one with the flame bomb makes the dying noises too loud
Overall it has been a fun experience, it flows well and gets also pretty challenging at the end of the level, i'm looking forward to more of it.
